Hope and Healing: A Group For Women Recovering From Sexual Assault In Oakland

If you are a sexual assault survivor then you already know -- dealing with the physical harm is only the beginning of the recovery process.

Hope & Healing is a 12-week confidential therapy group designed to help you deal with the emotional harm that results from sexual assault. We start with lessons in creating safety and self-care. Each week is an opportunity to share part or all of your story, an opportunity to be listened to and believed, an opportunity to track your own internal experience and begin to heal.

  • You can come to terms with what happened to you
  • You can move beyond guilt and shame
  • You can regain a sense of safety
  • You can learn healthy ways to nurture yourself
  • You can build rewarding connections with others

Who is Eligible?

If you are interested in healing from your own experience of sexual assault, if you are able to make a firm commitment to the entire twelve weeks, and if you are willing to come in for an individual assessment, you may be eligible for this group.

Fees and Funding

The fee for each session is $35. Optional FREE funding is available through the California Victim Compensation fund. We are happy to help you apply for this funding.
